I adopted my dog, Abby, when she was around eight years old. She is the perfect dog – friendly loving, loves to go for walks; still to this day, even though they are a lot shorter. I think that when you adopt a dog, it knows that you are giving it a second chance. Don’t we all deserve a second chance? She is now 16 or 17, sleeps a lot more, but still loves to go for her walks. We used to walk around 4 to 5 miles a day. Now we walk about a mile a day sometimes a little less.
Yes, this last year has been rough. She also lost her hearing this summer and her eyesight is not what it used to be. But I am glad every day when she is still breathing.💜💜
