Story by Vickie Babyak
The moment I saw Sammy’s picture on Pet Finders and read that he was found as a stray, looting in garbage bins, I fell in love with him and knew I wanted to give him a home. He had an old soul’s eyes and big corgi ears that were the most adorable sight, in my opinion.
Little did I know how important Sammy would be for my mental well being during rough times, and he came to me when I needed him the most. Sadly, he wasn’t part of the family long enough. Sammy was 13 years old when I adopted him on Oct. 1, 2019 and I hope he felt happy during his last couple years of life. I sure do miss that little furry fellow. You will always be a very good boy Sammy.
First picture is Sammy after he was found on the streets. The 2nd picture is when I met him at the White Oak Animal Safe Haven, and in the 3rd he’s wearing a sweater my youngest daughter bought for him. The last image was taken while Sammy was sick, before he crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
