Story by April Hartman
Mr. Wiggles came to me about a year ago when his previous owner had to move into assisted living. Mr. Wiggles is the easiest going little dog ever. I know a lot of dogs, including my previous Gray Paws dog Diablo, came from horrid living conditions before being rescued. Mr. Wiggles was fortunate enough to have an owner that loved him and cared for him his previous years! The transition was so easy. He came in the first day like he has been here before. No anxiety, no behavior issues, no weirdness. I work from home, and he will lay on his bed under the desk while I work. He loves to sniff around outside. He is quiet except if dinner is running late! So, if you think “oh it must be so hard to take in an old dog” or “they might need so much to have a smooth transition” I can tell you that isn’t the case all the time. Mr. Wiggles is 13 years old, but he is in great shape and perfectly healthy! He is losing some hearing and vision but aren’t we all?! Don’t let age always you! Senior dogs still have so much love and joy to give!
